This is Ishigaki from Kakoen, a cut flower farm in Aisai City, Aichi Prefecture (formerly Hachikai Village). We mainly grow lilies, and we also ship curcuma in the summer. We have been cultivating lilies for about 70 years since the first generation.

Aichi Prefecture has been Japan's largest producer of flowers for 60 consecutive years!
It is especially famous for producing chrysanthemums, roses, and phalaenopsis.
Aisai City is a thriving producer of lotus root, which ranks third in Japan in terms of shipment value, as well as strawberries, eggplants, and tomatoes. Flowers include lotuses, irises, and collars.
We are a small, family-run farm with an acreage of about 16 acres, and we deliver fresh cut flowers to wholesale markets mainly in Nagoya and Gifu, as well as local direct sales stores.

A. 小売店の方は出荷先の市場、一般消費者の方は産直売場にてご購入いただけます。

Q. ユリの球根は販売していますか？
A. 切花生産農家なので、球根の販売は取り扱っておりません。
Q. ネット販売はしていますか？
A. これもよく聞かれますが、現状ネット販売の取り扱いはございません。理由としては現在の生産規模・労働人数では市場出荷と産直売場での販売で精一杯だからです。もちろんネット販売であれば遠方の方でもお買い求めいただける、自宅まで配送してくれるなどの利点はあるのは確かです。しかしながら、現状家族３人で作業を回しているので、新たな種類の販路が増えると労働力が分散してしまい今まで保ってきた切花の品質を落としてしまう懸念があります。
今後生産規模を拡大しネット販売にも着手する可能性はゼロではないかもしれませんが、今は市場関係者及び産直売場のお客様とより強固な信頼関係を築くことが重要だと考えております。
Q. カサブランカは作っていますか？
A. 品種としてのカサブランカは栽培していませんが、オリエンタル百合は栽培しております。よく誤解されている方もいるのでお伝えしておきたいのですが、カサブランカという品種がオリエンタル百合の中でも知名度が高いためオリエンタル百合＝カサブランカという認識をされている方が一定数おられます。
ちなみにカサブランカをもとにして作られたシベリアという品種は業務用でも広く利用されているユリで、花好園でも栽培しております。
Q. 八重咲きの百合はいつ頃出荷予定ですか？
A. 年によって作付け計画は変わりますが、大きな需要期（年末、お彼岸、母の日等）では極力複数の品種の八重咲き品種を栽培しています。
Q. 農薬は使用していますか？
A. 結論からお伝えすると、栽培過程で農薬を使用しています。農薬の使用に関する詳しい情報はこちらをご覧ください。一部の消費者の方から「農薬」という言葉のイメージだけで環境に悪い「悪」という印象が広まっているのも事実なので、正しい利用をすれば安全で安心であるということをしっかりと伝えていきたいと思います。
なお、「無農薬〇〇」や「減農薬○○」といった表示は定義が曖昧で誤解を与える恐れがあるとして、農林水産省では平成16年にこれらの表記を禁止し、「特別栽培農産物」に統一されました。
